Judith Nevitt, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who practices comprehensive ophthalmology, including medical and surgical ophthalmology. Dr. Nevitt attended the University of Southern California where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa junior year with a Bachelor of Science honors degree.
She was active in a variety of research and extracurricular activities. In addition, she was a commencement speaker and received the USC award for outstanding community service. She received her medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where she also participated in research, teaching, and community service. Dr. Nevitt completed her ophthalmology residency at Stanford University and served as chief resident. She also received the Frances B. McCaskill memorial scholar award in her senior year of residency.
Following her training, she joined Mid-Peninsula Ophthalmology Medical Group. Dr. Nevitt has been the Deputy Chief for the Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University for many years and sits on the Stanford Medical Executive Committee, the Stanford Ophthalmology Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee, and the Executive Council of the Stanford Adjunct Clinical Faculty.
Dr. Nevitt is a fellow and has been recognized by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and participates in medical student and resident education. Also, she continues to participate on various committees at Stanford. Locally, she has always participated in the Peninsula Eye Society.
She has consistently been selected as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists, Best Doctors in the Bay Area, Who’s Who, and other similar publications. Dr. Nevitt’s research and consulting interests include ophthalmic laser, surgical and optical devices, as well as ophthalmic drug delivery systems.
