Judith Nevitt is a board-certified ophthalmologist who practices comprehensive ophthalmology including medical and surgical ophthalmology. Dr. Nevitt attended the University of Southern California where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa junior year with a Bachelor of Science honors degree. She was active in a variety of research and extracurricular activities. In addition, she was a commencement speaker and received the USC award for outstanding community service. She received her medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where she also participated in research. Dr. Nevitt completed her ophthalmology residency at Stanford University and served as chief resident. She also received the Frances B. McCaskill memorial scholar award in her senior year of residency. Following her training, she joined Mid-Peninsula Ophthalmology Medical Group.
Dr. Nevitt is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. As an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Nevitt participates in medical student and resident education. She has been the Deputy Chief for the Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University for many years and sits on the department's Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee as well as Stanford Hospital's Bylaws Committee.
